Color Manufacturing Quality Engineer – Apple July 2025 — Present

• Lead color development for iPhone back glass color from color target approval through mass production,

achieving >99.5% color/gloss/texture yield across multiple components, vendors, and product lines.

• Work with color designers to identify acceptable color ranges based on system harmony, intended contrasts, and unit to unit variation.

• Conduct visual review of samples to guide color designer in spec setting using L*a*b* color space. Own visualand numerical characterization for color/gloss/texture on components.

• Drove process bring up for screen printing and PVD by conducting studies

Materials Product Design Engineer (Rotation) – Apple July 2025 — Present

• Develop color matched inks for screen print applications on glass to meet color designer intended appearance.

• Control pigment selection for color, metamerism, and printing stability.

• Monitor reliability performance at system level for requirements such as adhesion, UV fade, and discoloration.

Manufacturing Design Engineer – Apple July 2021 — July 2024

iPhone 16 Pro

• Developed novel surface finish for iPhone 16 Pro titanium enclosure using sanding, polishing, and blasting processes to meet designer vision. Charactered surface finish based on measured roughness, graininess, feature spacing and visual grading.

• Optimized fixture design, blasting parameters, and machine setup in order to reduce blasting cycle time by 40% while still meeting surface finish target.

• Drove improvement of resin related cosmetic defects by optimizing sanding and polishing consumables, material removal rate, and process order.

iPhone 14

• Developed adhesive processes for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus back glass sub assembly, enabling design of Apple’s first repairable back glass. Optimized adhesive material selection and curing parameters for adhesion strength while minimizing component deformation and meeting system dimensional requirements.

• Drove failure analysis and corrective actions for glue and HAF related failures in part level and full system testing.
